With the mobile industry growing at an unprecedented rate, GSMA organizes an annual conference at Barcelona under the title ‘Mobile World Congress’, to provide a medium for the young entrepreneurs to interact with the leading figures of the mobile industry. With a mobile centric theme every year, the event this year will revolve around the Theme, ‘Mobile: The Next Element’ to showcase how the phenomena of mobile phones are changing the foundation of today’s world. Highlights of MWC 2017

YoMo: The Youth Mobile Festival:  MWC will be the host to 20,000 children aging 10-16 years, carrying out an educational event to augment their knowledge about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math through a series of fun filled activities.

MWC Ambassadors: MWC 2017 has trained ambassadors to ensure a seamless participation for all attendees. Placed at over 35 hotels in Barcelona, these ambassadors are equipped with vast information about MWC related queries as well as about services around the hotels.

Women4Tech: To encourage gender neutrality, GSMA has unveiled a programme, Women4Tech, a platform to increase women’s leadership in the mobile industry. Building on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the programme comprises of a number of activities to promote gender inclusion.

 Meat & Eat: To facilitate communication and networking beyond the formal conference setting of MWC, provisions have been made to assist the attendees to carry out dialogues while enjoying the culinary delights Catalonia.

 Hall 8.0 NEXtech is the future: Hall 8.0 is a space devoted to showcasing the most forward thinking technology innovations and cutting edge products which are likely to shape the future of the mobile phone network.

What to expect at MWC 2017

Blackberry Mercury: TCL owned Blackberry is all set to launch its Blackberry Mercury at MWC 2017.

LG G6 : G6 by LG is likely to make its debut at MWC 2017 with some possibly revolutionary features including a wireless charger, splash resistance and a 4K screen.

Xiaomi : Attendees at MWC 2017 are also going to witness new products by some Chinese producers with Xiaomi likely to launch Mi 6.

Nokia : Rumored to be working on 4 different smart phones, Nokia is likely to introduce China only- Nokia 6 at MWC 2017 with unveiling more details about the other models.

Moto G5 Plus: Lenovo Moto is likely to reveal Moto G5 at MWC 2017, while the formal launch is scheduled for March 2017.

Samsung S8: Samsung is likely to reveal specifications and details about its new flagship, S8 with a confirmed presentation of a new gear 360 as a companion of Galaxy S8.

Huawei : Huawei is all set to launch its new flagship P10 which is most likely to be the center of attraction cutting across its competitions.
